Fleet for different industries

Speedixa fleet for freight transport across Europe

The Speedixa fleet is configured for international road freight across Europe and for selecting a vehicle according to the actual parameters of each shipment. We operate modern tractor units, curtainsider and specialized semi-trailers, medium-duty trucks and vans. This range allows us to organize standard freight transport, urgent deliveries, temperature-controlled transport, container deliveries and specialized cargo without trying to use one vehicle type for every task.

The Speedixa fleet includes more than 50 vehicles. The average vehicle age is about three years, and the tractor units meet the Euro 6 environmental standard. Vehicles undergo scheduled maintenance, while their movement is monitored by GPS 24/7. This allows the dispatch team to track vehicles, coordinate loading and unloading, and keep the customer informed about shipment status.

Which vehicles are included in the Speedixa fleet

The core fleet consists of curtainsider semi-trailers and trucks in different payload classes. MEGA solutions are available for high-volume consignments, refrigerated semi-trailers and refrigerated trucks for temperature-sensitive cargo, specialized platforms for container transport, and box-body or panel vans for smaller and urgent shipments. Before booking a vehicle, the main parameters can be compared in the “Compare available vehicle types” section.

A curtainsider semi-trailer is suitable for most palletized, industrial and consumer goods. Its usable volume and rear, side and top loading options make it a versatile choice for regular transport between warehouses, production sites and distribution centres. MEGA semi-trailers are used when greater internal height or more usable volume is critical while the shipment weight remains standard.

Refrigerated transport and temperature-controlled cargo

Refrigerated vehicles are used for products that require controlled temperature. Planning takes into account the required temperature range, route duration, loading and unloading conditions, packaging type and the cargo’s sensitivity to deviations. More information is available on the refrigerated transport page. This equipment is used for food, pharmaceutical products, raw materials and other cargo for which stable transport conditions are part of the quality requirements.

For sectors with strict temperature and delivery-time requirements, vehicle selection is especially important. This includes perishables and fresh produce as well as pharmaceutical and healthcare logistics. In such projects, the vehicle must match not only the weight and volume of the consignment but also the customer’s logistics procedures.

ADR, containers and specialized transport

Dangerous goods require a vehicle with the appropriate equipment and a driver with the required qualifications. Requirements depend on the cargo class, packaging, route and accompanying documents. Speedixa also provides ADR dangerous goods transport, where choosing the correct vehicle is an essential part of preparing the shipment.

Container platforms are used for the road leg of intermodal chains and for moving containers between terminals, warehouses and production sites. For these tasks Speedixa offers container transport. Vehicle selection takes account of the container type and size, cargo weight, terminal handling method and access conditions at the delivery point.

Vans and express delivery for smaller consignments

Not every shipment requires a full semi-trailer. Light commercial vans are used for smaller consignments, spare parts, equipment, samples, documents and urgent cargo. They can be dispatched faster, work well for urban deliveries and are suitable for routes where a large truck would be uneconomical. For these tasks Speedixa offers express transport up to 3.5 t.

When delivery time is the main requirement, the vehicle is selected not only by payload capacity but also by actual availability, driver location and the ability to complete the route without unnecessary transshipment. For time-critical shipments we use Time-Critical delivery. This is particularly important for manufacturing, equipment service and industries where a delay of one component can affect the entire production process.

Selecting a vehicle for cargo parameters

Correct vehicle selection starts with accurate input data. Our specialists need the weight and dimensions of the cargo, number of packages, packaging type, loading and delivery addresses, preferred dates, access restrictions, any need for side or top loading, temperature requirements and information about hazardous properties. These shipment parameters are then matched against the capacity, internal dimensions and payload of available vehicles.

This approach reduces the risk of sending an unsuitable vehicle, warehouse delays and inefficient use of cargo space. Precise coordination of dimensions and timing is particularly important for automotive components, parts and manufacturing cargo; dedicated solutions are described on the Automotive & Spare Parts page. For retail products and regular stock replenishment, Speedixa provides solutions for the Retail & FMCG sector.

Technical readiness and transport safety

Transport reliability directly depends on the technical condition of the vehicle. Our vehicles are serviced regularly in accordance with established schedules. Before an order is performed, technical readiness, equipment completeness and cargo securing equipment are checked. For specialized transport, the vehicle’s suitability for the specific cargo type and route is assessed additionally.

Cargo securing is selected according to the packaging, weight and nature of the goods. Straps, blocking elements and other equipment are used when required. The driver receives information about the specific transport requirements before departure. This procedure is especially important for valuable equipment, industrial products and goods sensitive to mechanical impact.

GPS monitoring and shipment control 24/7

GPS monitoring makes it possible to track the vehicle along the route and maintain communication between the driver and the logistics team. On international routes this helps coordinate arrival times for loading and unloading, take route conditions into account and respond quickly to changes. For the customer, this means greater transparency regarding shipment status.

In complex logistics schemes, road transport can be one leg of a longer chain. Speedixa also organizes multimodal transport, where the road leg is combined with other modes of transport. In this case it is particularly important to synchronize vehicle arrival with the terminal, warehouse or next stage of the route.

Fleet for international road transport across Europe

Speedixa vehicles operate on international routes throughout Europe. Planning takes into account distance, warehouse operating hours, truck traffic restrictions, loading and unloading times, mandatory driver breaks and document requirements. The vehicle type is selected before the order is confirmed so that the logistics plan matches the real transport conditions.

For regular routes, predictable vehicle availability and the ability to use the right configuration on every trip are important. For one-off shipments, the priority may be rapid vehicle dispatch, a non-standard loading method or special body requirements. Having several vehicle categories makes it possible to select a solution for the task rather than adapt the cargo to whichever vehicle happens to be available.

How to order the right vehicle

For an initial selection, use the specification table and vehicle cards on this page. Then send Speedixa the cargo and route parameters. The more accurate the input data, the faster we can determine the vehicle type and calculate the transport. If necessary, our specialists will clarify the loading method, securing requirements, temperature regime and other conditions.

To receive a quotation, go to the “Calculate shipping cost” form. Enter the origin and destination, cargo parameters and required date. After the request is analysed, we will propose a vehicle that matches the transport conditions. Where road delivery is part of a wider logistics project, the Speedixa team can prepare an integrated solution covering terminals, warehouse handling and subsequent transport legs.
